As a 25+ years ‘young’ female who worked for many years as a very fit pole dancer – and therefore being accustomed to the ‘male graze’ – I was more than reluctant to work with a male therapist to work with me on my low back issues. Physiotherapists did nothing, except billing me an awful amount of my monthly earnings. Doctors couldn’t help. I never experienced great and lasting results with massage therapists. Eventually, a friend who had worked with Mondi suggested to see him, and now I am so, so grateful for being introduced to him.

After working with him for four months I am not ashamed to say that he’s become my go-to guy whenever I feel that’s something not quite right with my body. He helped me with painful shoulders, hips, and low back, and actually helped me breathe again. Suffering from sexual abuse during my later teens, followed up by a series of toxic, narcissistic relationships with badly chosen male partners, I eventually found myself very lost and disoriented in my early 30 years. Visits to my GP just added another prescription for medications that were to ease my anxieties and depressive tendencies. Now, close to being 37, and realising I want to finally become truly myself, I decided to book a session with Mondi. Honestly, it’s probably the best thing I’ve done in my whole entire life.

First, considering my history, I was very, very hesitant to work with a male therapist. Males were not to be trusted, period. But I persisted, trusted, read his testimonials, and finally booked a session. Even that first session was amazing. I cannot remember being so comfortable around a male ever, and I really, honestly mean that. We talked seriously, and we even had a few laughs. After my intake consultation I just knew I wanted to go and have my first proper session with him.

OMG! Just to be safely vulnerable with anyone, especially a male in my case. Now, four sessions later, Advaya feels like home to me. It’s where I come to meet ‘me’. I so honestly love every visit to that space, and just to be able to be me, safely and without any prejudice. The space is calming and beautiful, and the garden around it is so, so soothing.

Utterly life-changing work. Working with Mondi has been one of the most healing and transformative things I have done in my life.

Before I started this work, I had been stuck in fight-or-flight/survival mode for many years. I had barely slept for the previous 8 months (felt like 2-3 hours a night), and was taking antidepressants, anti-psychotics, and benzodiazepines to stabilize my state. Probably in part due to autism spectrum, I have a very sensitive nervous system. After a month or two of working with Mondi, I was feeling much calmer and safer in myself. My posture had completely transformed, my breathing was much deeper, and I was off all of the medications. I would still go into panic at times, but this was getting less and less intense. Fast forward another 3 months, I’m feeling the calmest and happiest I’ve ever been in my life – absolutely flourishing.

When I contacted Mondi to ask about my pelvic floor issues I had no idea that I would receive more than just physical relief. Beyond words, really.

After experiencing more than a few emotional and mental meltdowns one of my closest friends suggested to see Mondi at Advaya Healing. By then I didn’t sleep well, my work as sole business owner suffered, and my relationship had already imploded. When I went to see Mondi first time I just wanted to be able to sleep, rest, and relax again. From the second session onwards I honestly felt that something positive was happening with and within me, none of which I could really fathom. However, Mondi stayed by my side and constantly offered explanations that made complete sense. Within five weeks I let go of my sleeping pills. Two months after my first visit I started to feel more whole again than I had felt for literally years. A neighbour referred me to Mondi at Advaya when I had a bad fall that left me not only sore in various spots but left my neck out so bad that I couldn’t move it at all and even talking and eating was getting painful. One session with Mondi and my neck was moving the very next day. I could have stopped with one session but continued. I have seen numerous positive changes in my body. Fascia bodywork therapy with Mondi is an incredible healing experience and something I always look forward to. Mondi has the ability to make you feel like you’re his only client. I am a 34 year young woman who decided five years ago to undergo breast augmentation. I went from a mere A-cup to a wonderful C but not, as it turns out, without some persistent physical and emotional issues. Prior to visiting Advaya Healing I have had many deep tissue massages to relive tension in my neck back legs and ankles and have visited physio as have had an ongoing back issue for the past 2 and a half years. I have received more than ten treatments from Mondi, and all of them were mysteriously amazing. I really thought I knew my body well, until I started to work with him. How I am living in my own skin, quite literally, has changed forever. Mondi’s treatments are completely real. There is no hocus-pocus, and no invisible and far-fetched supernatural forces at play. My body falls literally and noticeably in place during treatments, and with that my mind. Experiencing lower back pain for 5 years was the reason that I booked a session in with Advaya Healing. I’d been getting various treatments via osteopaths, chiropractors, massage therapists and Bowen therapists. I have been seeing Mondi for about 4 months now and have had amazing results with the fascia release treatments. I first went to see Mondi for an issue on my TMJ, blocked jaw and neck pain. After trying other avenues, I found the practices used at Advaya working like magic and incredibly helpful to solve those issues.
